At the workshop, we plan to introduce and discuss another publication with De Gruyter, edited by Alexander Berg and Denys Kaidalov and titled "Wittgenstein and Classical German Philosophy – Logic, Language, Life", coming in October, 2024 (https://www.degruyter.com/document/isbn/9783110698442/html).
Furthermore, we intend to capture the further development of the discussions from these events in a subsequent publication.
Host and Institutional Support:
The University of Zagreb, our host, is the oldest university in Croatia, and among the oldest universities in south-eastern Europe. It has been the intellectual and cultural centre both throughout history and today in Croatia. University of Zagreb and Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences have a wealth of experience in organizing philosophical events, which is shown by the organization of regular, both local and international philosophical events on an annual basis.
This workshop is supported by the Croatian Philosophical Society and the Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences , University of Zagreb. (https://www.unizg.hr/homepage/).
Things to see:
The city of Zagreb itself is a beautiful venue with a Southeast European atmosphere. It was an important intellectual and cultural center in the 19th and 20th century and still retains its Austro-Hungarian character with a touch of Eastern European culture (including elements of Eastern Ottoman and Soviet-Ex Yugoslavian influence). Zagreb today is still the main intellectual heart of Croatia, which can be seen through numerous manifestations that are held in the city regularly.
